Job Description
The Salesforce Business Development Representative plays a vital role in uncovering business needs to build a pipeline for the sales organization. This individual collaborates with the program manager to develop campaigns and prospects, ensuring a seamless handoff to Sales. The BDR must be knowledgeable about ongoing and upcoming marketing campaigns to increase conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the program manager and cross-functional teams to identify strategic targets and generate new business opportunities.
- Meet or exceed strategic goals and committed targets by engaging with qualified leads and enabling the next step in the sales cycle.
- With consultative engagement, qualify opportunities by understanding business challenges while educating prospects on the value of Salesforce's product.
- Conduct detailed research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information.
- Select and engage with prospects identified through marketing efforts.
- Become proficient in sales prospecting platforms and tools.
- Use customer challenges to prescribe relevant campaigns and events to drive engagement.
- Develop exceptional customer service relationships with prospects.
- Self-audit activity to ensure accuracy and enable improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on Salesforce's products, driven products, and market knowledge via the website, online webinars, and other marketing information.
- Update lead status and all prospect interactions in the CRM application daily.
