About the Role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a seasoned sales professional to serve our business as a Commercial Manager and contribute to our Sales team.

This position will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with strategically important customers. Assigned to one geographical region, the Commercial Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, pipeline management, relationship management, and strategic account planning while maintaining customer satisfaction as measured by the Net Promoter Score.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for accounts by analyzing customer business plans.
  • Define and propose sales targets and growth margins for the account and ensure their achievement through structured follow-up processes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the account plan, including designing executive relationship strategies and coverage plans.
  • Establish and develop account relationships based on defined strategies, manage meaningful customer engagements, and act as a focal point for problem resolution.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of customer business strategies, purchasing behavior, and organizational structures to provide insightful recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date on market dynamics and macroeconomic influencers to inform sales strategies.
  • Participate in sales management, co-workers, and business unit leadership to develop and execute account plans.
  • Coordinate activities involving multiple functions across various businesses to introduce meaningful concepts and solutions for customers.

Your Background

  • Hitachi Energy is seeking a candidate to join a diverse team with various levels of education and experience considered for this role.
  • Bachelor's degree and PM Certification, a minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales & Marketing are preferred.
  • Degrees in Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and/or Marketing are desired, but other disciplines will be considered with proven technical selling aptitude.
  • Able to travel 50% of the time, communicate technical details clearly, and possess solid organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of SFDC, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint, negotiation, assertive communication, leadership, and ownership.
