- This role is for an experienced Android Developer who will lead a team in designing, developing and maintaining our Android applications.
Responsibilities:
- We are seeking someone to lead the design, development and implementation of new features and functionality for our Android applications.
- The ideal candidate should be able to architect and maintain scalable, reusable and efficient code that meets performance and quality standards.
- As a leader, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
- You will conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- We require someone to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize tasks and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
- The successful candidate should stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in Android development and advocate for their adoption as appropriate.
- Mentoring junior developers, providing guidance, support and opportunities for growth and development is essential.
- Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions is a key responsibility.
- The ability to continuously optimize the performance, scalability and security of our Android applications is required.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field is necessary.
- 4+ years of professional experience in Android application development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions is essential.
- Expertise in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages is required.
- A strong understanding of Android application development frameworks, architecture patterns and best practices is necessary.
- Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle and related tools is required.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies is essential.
- A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development is required.
Qualities:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers is required.
