The OpportunityAs a Cloud Operations Engineer II, you will work with a global team of cloud engineers, customer support, development, architecture, and quality assurance teams to support and implement new features and enhancements to the Incentive Compensation Management products.
You will contribute to technical work on services supporting Incentive Compensation Management products, incident management duties to ensure the quality of the service, and automate processes or functions to improve business operations.
In the short term, you will complete training on our tech stack and join a squad of cloud engineers to support, optimize, and improve our production environments.
You will learn our service observability and application performance monitoring stack, customer-focused service requests workflows and technologies, and master our customer-focused service requests workflows to resolution.
In the medium term, you will continually monitor and tune application infrastructure to assure optimal performance, availability, and utilization of resources.
You will work with application teams to automate application configuration changes, setup, and deployment, and participate in technical discussions and design for new projects.
In the long term, you will be the subject matter expert in our core support service request workflows, document and implement enhancement ideas, and propagate knowledge throughout the team.
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience with 2+ years of professional experience in a CloudOps / DevOps role.
- Experience with supporting, maintaining, and developing on cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, and IBM.
- Experience in automation and software development, with one of more programming languages (Scripting language, Python, etc.).
- Previous experience with client-facing production services and incident management.
- A track record of being able to learn innovative technologies and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline development and management.
- Practical knowledge of infrastructure and application performance monitoring solutions.
- Good understanding of core networking concepts, IP space, DNS, VPN.
- Experience working with enterprise databases.
- Practical technical knowledge in Linux and Windows server (physical and containerized deployments and management).
- Experience in container application implementation and troubleshooting, working with virtualization technologies and images.
- Good understanding of service monitoring and experience with log management tools.
- Practical experience in various communication technologies and platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- B2 level English or higher is required.
