About the Role

As an Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire estimation and job approval process, from handling incoming leads to scheduling jobs and coordinating with technicians.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that technicians' schedules are consistently filled with approved work, optimizing resource allocation, and improving operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and motivated to achieve a high rate of job closures, typically within the 50-70% range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming leads from various sources, engage promptly and professionally with customers, and create accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop and present detailed job estimates, ensuring they meet company standards and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with technicians to schedule jobs efficiently, monitor job progress, and make real-time adjustments to schedules to meet customer timelines.
  • Maintain a consistent job closure rate of 50-70%, track and report on conversion rates, customer feedback, and scheduling efficiency.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the estimation and approval process, addressing customer inquiries and resolving concerns promptly to build trust and satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with technicians and other team members to ensure seamless execution of approved jobs, providing insights and feedback to improve overall processes and performance.

Requirements Profile

  • Language: Fluency in American English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience: Prior experience in sales, estimating, or construction/project management preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding performance targets.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimation tools and software, ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Personal Traits: Strong organizational and time-management skills, results-driven, and motivated by achieving goals.
