Sales Engineer for Food Industry

About the Role:This senior-level position involves identifying market opportunities and conducting direct sales of Alfa Laval products and systems within the Food & Water Division in Chile. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in capital sales within the Chilean food industry and possess a deep understanding of local markets and food process applications.
You will be responsible for analysing market insights, customer buying behaviour, and making sales plans aligned with business division strategy and targets. Your primary focus will be on delivering solutions and products to the local food industry, while managing leads from the market and converting them into real business opportunities.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to interact effectively with Alfa Laval Business Units, run commercial operations by managing customer grids, and develop highly profitable quotes reflecting customer needs.
Requirements:- Civil Engineering Bachelor's Degree (Chemistry, Mechanical, or Food); Master's degree in Marketing or Business Administration is a plus
- At least 10 years of commercial experience selling industrial equipment in companies supplying the food and beverage industries or engineering companies providing solutions to it
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
- Availability to travel 25% of the time
