Puerto Rico Consumer Electronics Retail Merchandiser

We are seeking a results-driven Merchandiser to support our Consumer Electronics retail operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal product availability, executing high-impact visual merchandising, and driving sales performance across retail locations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a keen eye for presentation, works effectively with cross-functional teams, and leverages market and consumer insights to maximize product visibility and commercial success.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Product Availability and Inventory Management
- Ensure products are available in designated retail stores and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Monitor inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Advocate for replenishment and manage product rotations or markdowns when necessary.
2. Visual Merchandising and Display Optimization
- Create visually appealing product displays and planograms that align with brand standards.
- Secure prime shelf or floor space for high-demand products.
- Regularly assess display effectiveness and adjust layouts to maximize customer engagement.
3. Sales Analysis and Market Insights
- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to anticipate demand.
- Identify slow-moving items and implement promotions or discounts to boost sales.
- Conduct competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
4. Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with store managers, suppliers, and marketing teams to execute merchandising strategies.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns and product launches in retail chains.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
5. Consumer Research and Trend Forecasting
- Gather insights through surveys, focus groups, and market research to understand consumer preferences.
- Forecast seasonal trends and emerging technologies to inform product selection and display strategies.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
- Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles and consumer electronics products
- Experience in consumer electronics merchandising or fast-moving retail environment with proven track record in managing product availability, visual merchandising standards, sales performance, stock rotation, and display optimization
- Experience coordinating promotions, product launches, or multi-store retail execution
- Desirable diploma or bachelor's degree in marketing, retail management,or a related field; equivalent professional experience in retail merchandising will also be considered
- Willingness to visit retail stores regularly
- Ability to analyze sales data, inventory reports, and market trends
- Ability to collaborate effectively with store teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, promotions, and product cycles
