Job Description INTEGRA is an Architecture and Engineering (A/E) firm headquartered in Puerto Rico. Our services, specialized and integrated, are grouped into three categories: A/E Design & Ideation, Infrastructure Planning & Design, and Construction Management & Consulting. INTEGRA is currently looking for an Electrical Design Manager to join our team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The successful candidate will take on an active role working directly with senior engineers and consultants in the design of power systems. Potential projects include new or rebuilt power transmission lines, distribution feeders and substation design. Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for managing the design and development of substation, transmission and distribution electrical systems. Responsible for leading a team of electrical and civil engineers throughout the design process. Responsible for preparing accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design drawings, specifications and reports related to the design. Responsible for monitoring and controlling design-related costs, including materials and labor identifying cost savings opportunities and value engineering electrical designs. Works closely with the management team and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful delivery of the project. Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable codes and standards (LUMA, PREPA, NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFP). Interact with other professionals, clients, and consultants. Travel to project and client locations for meetings and site visits. Make periodic field visits to sites as required. Attends meetings and interacts with clients. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Knowledge in design and construction of electrical power systems projects. Professional engineer (PE) license required. Member of the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico. Excellent technical and interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills (Spanish/English preferred). Computer skills required, with ability to use Microsoft Office, Project in such applications as spreadsheets, databases, scheduling, and engineering software. Proven experience in leading and managing design teams. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
