DRAFTSMAN

Job Description The draftsman position involves computer drawing of civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical design and structural plans as required. He must also assist in obtaining data or dimensions in the field, for the preparation of “as-built” plans. Duties & Responsibilities Utilize CAD software to prepare detail designs of civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical design and structural assemblies. Analyze design requirements and recommend changes that result in a more efficient design or offer a better value. Work with outside architects, engineers, and detailers as necessary. Check drawings of other draftsmen to minimize risk of error. Provide timely responses to inquiries from architectural and engineering teams. Prepare as-built drawings based on field measurements. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree or Technical course or in Drafting, Engineering or Architecture studies. Two (2) or more years of experience using AutoCAD. Program management: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office. Availability to work in the office and in the field. Strong creative and technical design skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and be self‑directed while collaborating closely with a very diverse team. Current driver’s license.
