About the role

The role involves overseeing the development and maintenance of mobile applications to ensure alignment with business goals and enterprise architecture. You will manage and mentor a team of mobile developers while acting as an Agile Product Owner, defining product vision and backlog priorities. Responsibilities include promoting agile best practices, ensuring code quality, performance, and security, and driving technical strategy and decision-making. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for managing timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely delivery, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Main responsibilities:

1. Oversee the development and maintenance of apps in our ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business goals and enterprise architecture.
2. Manage and mentor a team of mobile developers.
3. Act as the Agile Product Owner, defining product vision and backlog priorities.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
5. Oversee the development and delivery of mobile applications.
6. Ensure adherence to agile methodologies and promote agile excellence within the team.
7. Ensure best practices in code quality, performance, and security within the team.
8. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
9. Manage timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring timely and within-scope delivery.
10. Drive technical strategy and decision-making, ensuring the adoption of modern technologies and methodologies.

Key Qualifications and Experiences:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
2. 7+ years of leadership experience with large, global IT teams, focusing on the development lifecycle within product teams.
3. Demonstrates strong capabilities in cross-functional collaboration and managing diverse, multicultural teams in a matrix organization to drive performance and innovation.
4. 10+ years of experience in mobile development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
5. Strong expertise in mobile development frameworks such as React Native.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
7. Proven experience to manage and mentor a team of developers, building highly skilled product teams and operating as a change agent.
8. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions.
10. 3+ years demonstrable experience in Agile and Product team workflows, including epics, features, stories, sprints, and backlog management.
11. Financial fluency: P&L understanding, Business case development, OKRs, KPIs.
12. Experience with MACH Architecture.
13. Strong sense of urgency in delivering results and high cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
14. Proven ability to lead global application delivery in a 24x7 business and secure operating environment.
15. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and passion for product development.
17. Professional attitude and service orientation; team player.
