You will act as a trusted advisor to the sales teams and provide finance input on deal structures & terms that maximize value to Cadence, and that benefit external customers and internal cross-functional teams.
The person in this role will join a cohesive team that operates in a dynamic, high growth environment for this publicly traded software and solutions company that has over $4.6B in annual revenue.
The person in this role will work closely with the quote-to-cash group, including the Sales, Revenue Accounting, Order Management, Credit, and Legal teams.
Job Description: North America Sales Finance Manager, San Jose, CA
Finance partner to Sales: This person works with the sales team to structure and execute customer deals that achieve the Company's financial objectives.Identifies potential revenue recognition, booking, and fulfillment issues associated with nonstandard features in customer deals.Maintains deep engagement with stakeholders across many teams to resolve such issues.Works with Business Unit owners on discounts and pricing.Serves as an expert on quoting systems.Drafts contract terms for nonstandard deal features.Focus areas include deal quality, compliance with the Company's policies and procedures, and contract terms and conditions.Finance Project Manager: Works on financial analysis to be presented to management, and provides finance advice on business model changes and acquisition integration.Job Requirements: Ability to thrive in a high growth, dynamic environmentHigh business acumenStrong problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to listen to and understand the needs of sales, finance, and operations.Ability to communicate with members of several groups within the quote to cash team and influence business partners.Attention to detail regarding contract terms and conditions, revenue recognition rules, and booking & fulfillment systems requirements.Knowledge of software, IP, hardware, and services revenue recognition rules and other accounting standards.Desired Qualifications & Experience: 12 Years in Finance Department/Accounting/Auditing or related disciplineEducation: Finance or Accounting related degree preferredStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated and innovativeAbility to understand the needs of sales, problem-solve to find quality solutions, and escalate as neededKnowledge of software, IP, and hardware accounting rules is a plusUnderstanding of ASC606 software revenue recognition is a plusPrior experience with Salesforce, CPQ tools knowledge is a plusThe annual salary range for California is $126,000 to $234,000.
You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits.
Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
