The primary goal of the Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) role is to enhance each customer interaction by delivering value and thus fortifying the relationship with the client.
Under guidance, the ISE provides quotation assistance to clients by offering pre-sales, post-sales, and technical support.
The ISE collaborates with customers or Sales Teams to size, select, and recommend equipment that aligns with application specifications, which will be included in the Technical Proposal. The ISE generates quotes that encourage customer purchases from Emerson.
KEY LOCAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivers medium-level technical solutions and general application support. Coordinates with other Inside Sales or Operational teams for multi-divisional bundled project quotations. Engages directly with clients, Field Sales, and Field Service to provide pre-sales application support and create formal quotations. Implements the factory pricing policy to ensure appropriate gross profit for each order and maintains accurate records. Responsible for preparing all technical documentation for bids. Conducts sales via phone or online platforms. Follows up with clients to address any inquiries or logs. Regularly reviews inventory to quote stock options. Primarily works from the office, remaining accessible to clients. Maintains records of incoming quotations and orders in CRM, adhering to Proposal Guidelines. Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives. Upholds individual performance standards and ensures KPIs align with targets. Verifies incoming purchase orders for product selection and sizing accuracy, as well as completeness of any required configuration or application data sheets. Responsible for delivering accurate orders to the Intercompany Cell. Conducts handover with Operations and Sales teams when quotes convert into orders. Prepares to work according to company closing schedules and follows the organization set by the Customer Care department. Manages Customer Portals as required. Provides guidelines and internal training to share knowledge with the team. Adheres to ethical principles, vision, mission, and aligns with the values established by the company's top management. Obtains certification in product selling skills and application knowledge as periodically required by the division. Continues to enhance knowledge of products, applications, and industries. Provides guidelines and internal training to share knowledge with the team. Participates in all mandatory training provided by the company, including those related to Trade Compliance and compliance with legal regulations and/or Corporate Policies, and may serve as a mentor/guide on these issues if necessary.REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems. A degree in Engineering. Proficiency in English, capable of engaging in technical or commercial conversations (Intermediate/Advanced English level). Willingness to travel internationally for training.
