If you’re computer‑savvy and enjoy supporting end users, we’d like to meet you Responsibilities Maintain a working log detailing all required system updates, as well as the date of completion. Attend in‑person meetings with clients to analyse, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems. Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions, hardware, software and networking. Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking. Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems. Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system‑related concerns from clients or other employees. Guide users with simple, step‑by‑step instructions. Conduct remote troubleshooting, testing alternative pathways until the issue is resolved. Record technical issues and solutions in logs. Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel. Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional. Report customer feedback and potential product requests/updates. Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage. Organise and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware. Qualifications Good English skills—written and interpersonal are essential when communicating with customers and clients. 1‑3+ years proven work experience as a Desktop Support Specialist, Technical Support Analyst, or a similar role. Hands‑on experience with Windows, Linux and Mac OS environments. Strong hardware and software troubleshooting experience related to drivers, firmware (BIOS), camera/microphones, Google Workspace products, RAM, etc. Experience utilizing a ticketing system and tracking metrics (time to resolution, etc.) such as ServiceDesk. Experience working with JumpCloud and Atlassian products is highly preferred. Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, such as printers and scanners. Knowledge of networking, network security practices and anti‑virus programs. Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions. Time‑management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution. Comfortable working in and assisting others through company help‑desk software such as JumpCloud, in addition to other remote access desktop programs. Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services—key to professional success. Ability to prioritise and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
