Job Title Tax Specialist – LAC Tax Team (SAP) Overview We help the world run better Purpose and Objectives The Global Tax Team of SAP is responsible for all tax related matters on corporate taxes within the group. It is responsible for tax compliance as well as for all strategic aspects of tax optimization. The main areas of expertise cover a broad range of national and international tax topics as well as the execution and supervision of tax related projects. Global Tax is constantly providing support and policies to the local subsidiaries. The LAC Tax Team that is part of our Global Tax organization is looking for a Tax Specialist who wants to join the team that is responsible for corporate tax matters of the LAC countries. Local Tax Managers in various LAC countries are responsible for tax compliance matters in close collaboration with external tax advisors. The team collaborates closely with other teams within Global Tax, especially with the Transfer Pricing Team and the Group Tax Reporting Team. The role supports deal support, quarter/year end closing, forecasting, tax audits, appeals, automation and documentation across the region. Responsibilities Support the Local Tax Managers of the legal entities in LAC in deal support in close collaboration with commercial teams and customers, always considering internal policies. Support quarter and year end closing with a focus on quarterly tax calculations under IFRS, preparation of forecasts and tax risk reporting. Collaborate with Local Tax Managers and Senior Tax Specialist for LAC in tax audits with a focus on further standardization of internal processes and further development of a repository. Tax audit support via extraction and analysis of data including preparation of data in a format to be submitted to tax auditors. Increase automation of tax compliance processes. Support further documentation and standardization of tax processes in LAC. Qualifications Education in Tax, Finance or Accounting. Experience in Corporate Income Taxes with an advisory firm or in a corporate environment. Deep understanding of tax accounting according to IFRSA CPA, Qualified Tax Advisor, or comparable qualification with focus on taxation. Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills. Fluently in English. 3-5 years working experience in tax consulting and/or tax function of a multinational company with a focus on international taxes. Location Open to hire in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico.
