Remitee, a rapidly growing international Fintech focused on cross-border payments, is looking for a Tax Specialist to join our Accounting team. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing tax obligations, supporting compliance processes, and collaborating closely with Accounting, Finance, and external advisors to ensure Remitee meets all tax requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and support tax filings and returns (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.). Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Support tax calculations, provisions, and reconciliations in coordination with the Accounting team. Assist in tax audits, inspections, and requests from tax authorities. Collaborate with external tax advisors and consultants when required. Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the business. Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax matters (if applicable). Contribute to the improvement of tax processes, controls, and documentation. What We’re Looking For Must have Degree in Accounting or a related field. Proven experience in a tax role, preferably in a multi-country environment. Strong knowledge of corporate taxes, VAT, and withholding taxes. Experience working with accounting systems and tax reporting processes. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Ability to manage deadlines and work independently. Nice to have Experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated industries. Experience with tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions (Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Spain, United States, Mexico). Familiarity with transfer pricing and international tax matters. Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors. Advanced Excel skills or experience with financial systems/ERPs. Professional certifications in tax or accounting (CPA, CTA, or similar).
