Accounting/Controller Manager Argentina WHAT YOU WILL DO The role of the Accounting Manager / Controller is responsible for leading and coordinating the Accounting and Mailroom (outsourced) teams in order to ensure the best performance of the teams, compliance with accounting standards (IFRS and local) and providing value added services to internal clients. The position is also responsible for establishing the implementation of corporate projects and new solutions to improve accounting and internal processes in line with data privacy compliances, audit processes (internal and external) and financial accountability. Additionally, the role is responsible for developing and training the members of the teams under its scope. At the same time, the position is the focal point person for the external audit team and will act as a liaison with the rest of the Takeda Argentina organization. This role reports to the Head of Finance South Cone and is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON Manage and promote the monthly accounting reports to the corporation. Manage the monthly accounting closing calendar. Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAPPs for reporting and statutory accounting. Review and reconciliation of accounting accounts. Monthly submission of Balance Sheet Review to GEM. Lead external audit coordination. Ensure compliance with KPIs (Accounting and Mailroom). Lead the Mailroom team ensuring compliance with policies and being a partner with the business. Manage training for team members, in order to achieve excellence and efficiency of processes complying with Ethics & Compliance standards. Anticipate problems, being able to discover the root cause, in order to decide in the short term the resources required to solve them. Work collaboratively within the Finance team to ensure the proper functioning of the area and the company. Maintain CLT members informed with relevant information for the business. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR Experience & Education Bachelor's Degree in Administrative Areas or equivalent. Preferably Health Sciences. Experience of at least 5 years in Finance and similar roles. Solid management experience and leading teams. Experience with working collaboratively. Proficiency in the English language. Competences & Skills Show a high degree of energy, passion, and a strong focus on quality. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Organizational change planning and coordination skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person and virtually with members and office staff using strong dialogue and customer service competencies. Excellent written communication skills. Significant analytical skills, with the ability to develop clear perspectives and implementable solutions in line with the Company's policies and processes, focusing on quality and compliance. Ability to work flexibly with a small, focused team. Innovate to inspire people, delivering more effective messages. Committed to foster a diversity, equity, and inclusive environment.
