Logistics & Foreign Trade Specialist– Automotive Industry

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Department:
Supply Chain & Logistics

Reporting to:
Logistics / Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound Logistics:
    Manage procurement transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing of automotive parts from international suppliers.
  • Outbound Logistics:
    Oversee distribution of finished vehicles to dealers.
  • Monitor and improve
    key performance indicators (KPIs)
    such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventory turnover.
  • Ensure compliance with
    customs regulations
    , import/export procedures,
    health, safety, and environmental (HSE)
    standards, and
    quality management systems .
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Procurement, and After-Sales teams to align logistics strategies with business goals.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Foreign Trade, Logistics, or related fields
  • Supply Chain certifications preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of logistics and supply chain management experience, with at least 2/3 years in the automotive industry

Skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), WMS platforms, and logistics tracking tools
  • Solid understanding of international trade, import/export processes, and Argentine customs regulations
  • Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and cost-control capabilities
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus)
