Producers Dairy Foods, a leading supplier and distributor of high-quality award-winning dairy products, is looking for dedicated Transportation Drivers to join our winning team out of San Luis Obispo, CA. The Transportation Driver operates a commercial vehicle to transport and deliver product to its scheduled destination while staying in compliance with all State and Federal regulations and Producers Dairy Foods policies.
This position will have daily interaction with our customer base and therefore should be an individual dedicated to delivering superior customer service at all times. The Transportation Driver will be responsible for demonstrating the Producers Dairy Core Values and carrying out our purpose of Nourishing Lives.
Essential Functions:
- Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
- Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
- Interface with customers in a friendly professional manner delivering superior customer service
- Verify assigned delivery route for the day, obtain proper delivery tickets and load sheets along with any other resources in order to successfully complete deliveries
- Conduct vehicle inspections prior to and after use
- Ensure correct loading of trailer and ensures loads are secure, delivering milk and other dairy products to selected stores, branches or distribution sites
- Collect, review and submit accurate route settlement paperwork
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; maintaining safe vehicle conditions, completing driver log,
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Class A Driver License and Clean DMV Record
- Preferred 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Deadline-Oriented

- Scheduling & Map Reading
- Accepting for day and overnight positions.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
