About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our team at 5CA. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for fostering positive relationships between employees and the organization, while ensuring compliance with regional regulations and policies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of labor laws and regulations in LATAM, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our HR Business Partners to coordinate regional operations, provide guidance on compliance and compensation topics, and conduct investigations into complex employee relations issues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Act as the primary liaison between employees and the organization, coordinating regional operations while upholding compliance standards and fostering positive employee relations.
  • Provide thorough guidance and direction to compliance and compensation topics, including employment laws, regulations, and HR policies, to HR Business Partners, managers, and employees.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to oversee the effects of business changes in the region and act as a strategic partner when implementation is required at the level of the Employee Relations Manager.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to managers and employees specifically on sick leave and termination processes and leverage the support of the HR Operations team to ensure adherence to procedures and regulations that apply to these (individual) cases.
  • Conduct investigations into complex employee relations issues, and ensure adherence to regional procedures and regulations, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Work closely with the HR Operations team to support transactional activities throughout the HR and employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and data management.
  • Collaborate with other Employee Relations Managers to maintain the Compliance Framework and share best practices and drive consistency in HR initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze employee relations metrics and trends, identifying areas for improvement and developing proactive strategies.
  • Partner with HR COEs to coordinate both companywide and region-specific HR programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to managers on various HR compliance topics and employee relations (sick leave, terminations etc.) to enhance understanding and adherence to HR policies.
  • Drive and/or participate in strategic HR projects aimed at enhancing employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can bring value to our team at 5CA. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with LATAM labor laws (3+ years) and a strong understanding of regional regulations and policies.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Strong experience in partnering with various key stakeholders and being an effective team player.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of the European, Middle East and Africa employment law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated policy and procedure development and enforcement to ensure compliance.
  • Proven experience in employee relations or a similar HR role.
  • Worked in a fast-paced organization (preferably in the tech or BPO industry), where change is the norm.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
