Senior Finance Specialist - Consumption CoE Global Team SAP Group About the Role The Consumption CoE Global Team is seeking a Senior Finance Operations Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting our commercial and finance teams. You will be responsible for overseeing the tracking of fund usage, preparing and validating balance statements, and ensuring operational excellence for Private Cloud deals—primarily in the NA & MEE region. As a senior team member, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to both internal stakeholders and leadership, providing expertise on complex financial and operational matters. You will also guide junior colleagues, drive process optimizations, and enable robust change management in collaboration with the sales organization. By leveraging your expertise and leadership skills, you will be instrumental in shaping process improvements and ensuring client satisfaction at scale. What You’ll Do Own the preparation and review of contract documents, ensuring changes in consumption are precisely executed and fully documented. Lead the creation, validation, and optimization of monthly balance statements and fund balances, escalating issues and implementing improvements as needed. Serve as the primary escalation point of contact for internal customers on consumption and cloud-related financial topics. Proactively collaborate and build partnerships with SAP support teams (O2I, Sales, IT‑Support, Commercial, Provisioning, Revenue Recognition) to resolve critical issues and align on business outcomes. Champion and drive process enhancements to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction across the team; lead knowledge sharing and best practice initiatives. Independently manage and resolve the most complex cases, providing guidance and mentoring to team members. Skills & Competencies Strategic, analytical thinker and adept problem solver with exceptional attention to detail and a relentless drive for high-quality results. Advanced knowledge of SAP systems; proven ability to leverage SAP tools in daily work (preferred). Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas & data analysis. Demonstrated initiative, with a proactive and self‑directed approach; comfortable driving change and influencing decision‑making at multiple levels. Fast learner, adaptable to changing priorities, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to partner, influence, and foster collaboration across global, cross‑functional teams. Excellent verbal and written English skills; German language proficiency is highly valued. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or related departments, with demonstrated expertise in complex financial operations. Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience with SAP support modules, CRM and process management tools. Proven ability to work and communicate effectively within globally distributed, cross‑functional teams. Track record of successfully executing complex, high‑impact projects; experience providing guidance, training, or leadership to team members. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, controlling, process management, and best practices within finance operations.
