Job Overview The External Partnership Medical Lead works closely with the category country level Medical Staff to partner on cross BU strategy incorporating the digital strategy and plans. The role also will execute appropriate strategies and data generation to support key Pfizer priorities and serves as thought partner to cross-functional leaders and internal colleagues in managing relevant external partnership with key stakeholders (inclusive of Medical Societies, Medical associations, Academia, Patient Organizations and Various Healthcare entities) towards creating a culture of innovation and scientific decision making. The External Partnerships Medical Lead will lead the local Pfizer Scientific Institute that will be focused on strengthening Pfizer’s image as scientific partner of choice in selected institutes and will be the POC for the Pfizer Scientific institute. Will work with the medical leads for selection, activation and cross BU synergies across selected institutes or hospitals for specific expertise or specific projects in different categories (local Centers of Excellence). This role is also expected to utilize digital and multichannel understanding for creating opportunities of increasing reach of Medical value creating activities and opportunities where medical scientific partnerships are needed. This role will work closely with the regional team in regional and global strategies— main medical point of contact for synchronized or standardized initiatives cross medical BUs. Local POC of Argentina Pfizer Scientific Institute—Develops strategic partnership‑building approaches with MoH, Med Societies, Academia to consolidate Argentina Pfizer Scientific Institute (ICPA) and CME offering. Medical representative together with medical director on general discussion topics on local Pharma Chambers. Responsibilities Lead the Pfizer Scientific Institute project & content generation. Develop strategic partnership‑building approaches with MoH, Med Societies, Academia to consolidate Argentina Pfizer Scientific Institute (ICPA) and the cross BU CME offering; serve as main medical POC for synchronized and standardized CME initiatives. Develop long‑term strategy for cross‑BU external stakeholder partnerships. Collaborate closely with medical leads for selection, activation, and cross‑category synergies for centers of excellence (CoEs) institutes. Maintain a futuristic understanding of the evolving external environment. Understand needs and gaps, including data generation for medical partnerships; based on this develop a plan with clear metrics. Work closely with Field Medical colleagues to identify areas of collaboration and lead medical value‑creating activities. Understand all aspects of digital strategy—including patient, HCP, product access and medical education—and act as a consultant for internal stakeholders to develop their category plans. Deeply understand possible frameworks for collaborative initiatives and independent studies such as grants. Non‑customer facing: content generation for ICPA and identification of MedInfo standard responses for HCPs. Qualifications At least 5 years professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry with inter‑institutional relationship management (e.g., medical/ scientific societies, universities, NGOs/patient associations). Proven experience in external academic/scientific relationships, understanding of CME concepts. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships and versatility in dealing with different types of partnerships. Experience with more than two therapeutic areas preferred. Good track record of external stakeholder engagement, preferably partnerships with medical institutions or associations. Experience or a good understanding of the clinical research environment. Strong strategic thinking, technical expertise, leadership, and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders on both business and scientific issues, along with negotiation and facilitation skills to align group decisions. Creative skills in designing alternative approaches, new solutions, or innovations. Experience partnering with external vendors for development and support of various digital tools for customer engagement, and understanding newer technologies, artificial intelligence, e‑learning platforms.
