About the Job We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Data Architect to join our Cloud Data Engineering Practice. The role is responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex cloud‑based data solutions for our customers, and the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data and analytics technologies. Responsibilities Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for our clients in a consultative capacity Act as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements in collaboration with our pre‑sales teams Perform technical interviews for architect and engineer candidates and provide technical guidance to architects and engineers Oversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures Requirements At least 4 years of experience in the AWS data ecosystem 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems, with expertise in: Relational database design, optimization and migration Data modeling for transactional and analytics systems, including implementation of industry‑standard data models BI dashboards and visualizations Data governance and MDM Big‑data processing using Spark, streaming solutions, and NoSQL Machine learning and MLOps with proficiency in SageMaker GenAI foundational models and related frameworks, with proficiency in Bedrock DataOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, data testing, data versioning, etc.) Traditional data (at least 2 types) New data (at least 2 types) Experience with at least two of the following: Infrastructure as Code tools CI/CD pipelines and tools Python for analytics (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.) and automation Strong drive toward standardizing and documenting our approach and solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Benefits Pay in USD 100% remote work Generous holidays and flexible PTO Competitive phantom equity Paid for exams and certifications Peer bonus awards State‑of‑the‑art laptop and tools Equipment & office stipend Individual professional development plan Annual stipend for learning and development Work with an amazing worldwide team and an incredible corporate culture Travel This role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.
