Come talk to us to learn more about what it means to be a Caylien About the Job We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Data Architect to join our Cloud Data Engineering Practice. The Principal Data Architect will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex cloud-based data solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data and analytics technologies. Responsibilities Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for our clients in a consultative capacity Act as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements working with our pre‑sales teams Perform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates as well as provide technical guidance to Architects and Engineers Oversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures Requirements At least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems as well as experience in these areas: Relational database design, optimization and migration Data modeling for both transactional and analytics systems including implementation of industry standard data models BI dashboards and visualizations Data Governance and MDM Big data processing using Spark, Streaming solutions, and NoSQL Machine Learning and MLOps with proficiency in Sagemaker GenAI Foundational Models as well as approaches and frameworks used in conjunction with them with proficiency in Bedrock. DataOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, Data Testing, Data Versioning, etc) Traditional Data (At least 2) New Data (at least 2) Experience with at least two of these: Infrastructure as Code tools CI/CD pipelines and tools Python for analytics (numpy, pandas, matplotlib etc) and automation Strong drive towards standardizing and documenting our approach and solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Pay in USD Generous holidays and flexible PTO Paid for exams and certifications Peer bonus awards State of the art laptop and tools Equipment & Office Stipend Annual stipend for Learning and Development Work with an amazing worldwide team and in an incredible corporate culture This role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.
