The Role : We are looking for a Data Architect with strong expertise in mobile ecosystems to design, implement and optimize data solutions that power our mobile applications and analytics platforms. This role will ensure that data flows seamlessly from mobile clients through backend systems, enabling advanced insights, personalization and product innovation. You will collaborate closely with mobile engineers, backend teams, data engineers and product managers to build scalable, secure and high‑performance data architectures tailored to mobile use cases. Responsibilities : Data Architecture & Strategy Define and implement end‑to‑end data architecture strategies for mobile applications. Ensure data models and pipelines are optimized for mobile‑specific challenges including limited bandwidth, offline‑first experiences and real‑time synchronization. Establish governance, security and compliance frameworks for mobile data. Data Engineering & Integration Design and oversee scalable data ingestion, transformation and storage pipelines from mobile applications. Integrate mobile telemetry, usage analytics, crash reports and event tracking into centralized data platforms. Implement best practices for schema design, metadata management and master data management. Mobile Data & Analytics Enablement Collaborate with mobile developers to embed efficient data collection SDKs and APIs (Firebase, Segment, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.). Ensure seamless flow of event and user behavior data into BI tools and machine‑learning pipelines. Partner with data‑science teams to enable real‑time personalization and recommendation engines. Infrastructure & Performance Architect and optimize data warehouses, data lakes and streaming solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, Kafka, etc.). Enable scalable real‑time analytics for mobile app performance and engagement. Balance cost, performance and reliability in cloud‑native data architectures. Collaboration & Leadership Serve as the data architecture subject‑matter expert for mobile initiatives. Mentor engineers and analysts in data architecture principles and best practices. Work cross‑functionally with engineering, product and compliance teams to align on data strategy. Requirements : Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field. 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or related roles. Proven track record designing and scaling data solutions for mobile applications. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of data modeling, database systems (SQL & NoSQL) and distributed systems. Expertise in cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data warehousing solutions. Experience with mobile analytics platforms (Firebase, Segment, Mixpanel, Amplitude). Proficiency in streaming and event‑driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub). Strong background in ETL/ELT orchestration (Airflow, dbt, Dagster). Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA). Soft Skills Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge technical and business needs. Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset. Leadership presence and ability to drive consensus across stakeholders. Nice‑to‑Have Experience with AI/ML pipelines for mobile personalization. Background in edge data processing or federated learning for mobile. Knowledge of mobile security practices in data flows (encryption, secure storage).
