Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, overseeing project execution, and facilitating their professional growth.
  • Architect and implement robust, high-quality code in Python, enforcing best practices for software development and version control using Git.
  • Deploy and monitor machine learning projects in production, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance over time.
  • Translate complex business challenges into clear data science frameworks and project plans.
  • Conduct in-depth research and apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights.
  • Effectively communicate findings and the value of data science solutions to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership through compelling presentations and reports.
  • Guide junior team members in developing their presentation skills and confidence in sharing their work.
  • Proactively identify and propose innovative data-driven opportunities and approaches to add value to the business.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, enabling the team to work in parallel to accelerate progress and deliver results for our clients efficiently.
Required Skills
  • Programming Expertise: High proficiency in Python, with a strong emphasis on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Software Development Best Practices: Solid understanding and practical application of software development principles, including collaborative coding and version control using Git.
  • Theoretical Depth: Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and machine learning theory, with the ability to understand and implement new techniques from academic literature.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: A creative and analytical mindset with a talent for proposing novel solutions to challenging problems.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent ability to distill complex quantitative findings into clear, concise, and persuasive presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: A passion for guiding and developing junior talent, fostering a supportive and high-performing team environment.
Nice to Have Skills
  • Proven experience in a data science role with a track record of leading projects or mentoring team members.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Databricks.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing or consulting role.
  • A portfolio of completed data science projects or contributions to open-source libraries.
