Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Driver for our Health Transit Services CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered About the area: Bolivar is located in the Ozarks with a hometown feel and affordable housing options of rentals or apartments. Only an hour away is Branson, which includes many shows to see, Silver Dollar City, and shopping About the department: CMH Health Transit operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The driver will pick you up at home, take you to your health-related destination and return you to your home. Transportation is available for patients who are ambulatory (can move on their own) or are wheelchair-bound. Health Transit accepts private-paying patients and those qualifying for Medicaid. A typical day includes : Providing transportation assistance to individuals or organizational groups and community members requiring transport to CMH. Helping passengers enter/exit vehicles, secure wheelchairs/mobility aids, and manage personal belongings. Interacting with patients and community members. Logging trips, mileage, fuel, and any incidents. Job Requirements: Education: High school Diploma or equivalent Skills: Navigation skills, knowledge of confidentiality laws Experience: Compassion and Empathy — Ability to connect with and support passengers, making them feel safe and comfortable License: A valid driver's license is required Physical: The ability to stand for long periods and to thrive in a fast-paced environment The position is: Full-time, days.
