Overview of Position Manager of Metrics & Reporting – Global Housing Claims. The role is responsible for understanding and evaluating business, client & retention & Data Analytics processes, overseeing data reporting at the client, product, business, process, transaction, and/or application level. The Manager establishes and implements business reporting processes, risk & control architecture, ensures compliance with business process control standards, and prioritizes Data Analytics initiatives. Responsibilities Work closely with senior management to develop short and long‑term goals aligned with the organization’s vision. Lead and manage staff responsible for Data Reporting across Clients, Business, and Retention. Recruit, develop, evaluate, and counsel team members, coaching to ensure effective performance. Formulate policies for responsible areas, secure approvals, and administer procedures to implement policies. Develop efficient workflow patterns, performance standards, and procedures; ensure adequate staffing and training. Direct staff in the preparation of reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Manage relationships and communication with all organizational levels. Lead research to support process improvement activities, defining, measuring, and analyzing opportunities (quality, efficiency, capacity). Recommend improvements based on cost‑benefit analysis. Represent the department on claims calls, project teams, and intra‑departmental meetings. Coordinate development, documentation, and implementation of business reporting. Analyze effectiveness of key reporting processes, recommend process improvements for data reporting purposes, and evaluate deficiencies. Assist in managing projects to enhance performance of the Multi‑Family Housing business through Data Analytics Requests and Client, Business, and Retention reporting. Ensure best practices in reporting standards and processes. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Global Housing Claims business, retention & data analytics processes. Train reporting teams on DA, Retention, Client Reporting, BU Reporting, DWH, SQL, PMS, and Global Housing specific data. Share knowledge and best practices within the organization. Manage department initiatives and apply professional development learning. Mentor and develop team members, providing training on professional standards, tools, and strategies for success. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of cross‑functional experience in risk management, data management, analysis, and process management. Minimum 3 years of insurance‑related experience or equivalent external activity. Minimum 3 years knowledge of auditing duties, system or operation audits, company products, compliance, data analysis, and improvement tools. Minimum 3 years progressively responsible supervisory experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Assurant products and regulatory compliance governing the mortgage industry and lender placement policies. Strong analytical skills; experience with process management and making recommendations based on findings. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work across organizational boundaries. Strong organizational, project management, and implementation skills with attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks, handle shifting deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to manage and develop team members. Proficiency in technology to enhance efficiencies. Strong achievement‑and result‑oriented focus. Additional Skills/Experience Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe is highly desirable. Experience working in Agile environments demonstrates cross‑functional collaboration and adaptability. Working Conditions & Travel General office demands.
