Note: If you're hired for this role, you may be asked to update your LinkedIn profile :) About the Role The Account Manager / Strategist is a key client-facing role, fully owning accounts and acting as a strategic partner to clients. This position blends relationship management with marketing strategy, ensuring client satisfaction, long-term retention, and opportunities for growth and upsells. You’ll work closely with internal subject‑matter experts across Creative, Performance, and Web teams, synthesizing inputs into clear recommendations aligned with client goals and scope. At a small agency, this role requires ownership, judgment, and strong communication — the buck stops with you. Responsibilities Own and manage relationships with multiple clients and key stakeholders Provide proactive, strategic recommendations aligned with client business goals Act as steward of client scope, balancing contractual boundaries with strategic flexibility Lead client communication across email, calls, presentations, and reporting Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery Identify risks, roadblocks, and opportunities early and raise flags when needed Support onboarding of new clients in partnership with Business Development Ensure adherence to project management, budget, and time‑keeping standards Present strategies, reports, and recommendations confidently to clients Identify opportunities to upsell services and renew packages Final review and delivery of client‑facing work Support process improvements across accounts and internal workflows Requirements & Skills 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, or client‑facing project management (agency experience required) Strong comfort with direct communication (phone/video), not relying solely on async tools Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills Strong written and verbal communication Working knowledge of digital marketing, including paid media, e‑commerce, websites, SEO, Shopify, Klaviyo, and paid social Ability to interpret performance data and translate it into strategic insights Highly organized, proactive, and solutions‑oriented Confident managing multiple priorities and stakeholders Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM CST Compensation: Contractor model - USD salary.
