The Sales Development Role (SDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities.
SDRs utilize professional sales skills to investigate prospective clients' company structure,
industry positioning, and any other relevant information. This information is used to penetrate
the company with the intent of securing an opportunity to pass to the sales team.
Responsibilities/Job Duties
 Generate new business opportunities through lead follow-up and prospecting of
potential customers in the assigned territory.
 Make calls from provided customer lists as well as maximizing efforts from inbound
opportunities.
 Effectively and efficiently log leads and sales interactions in the Customer Relationship
Management software tools.
 Meet or exceed Lead Development quotas as defined by management.
 Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current and future products and services
offered.
 Interact as necessary with assigned territory sales team.
 Attend meetings and training courses as required.
 Other duties as assigned.
Evaluation of Performance
The SDR will be evaluated regularly to ensure the position is contributing to the success of new
business development. Key performance indicators will be based on the number of Qualified
Meetings scheduled per month.
Reporting Structure
 Direct Manager: Mike Wiseman, SDR Director
Educational/Experience Requirements
 1 year contact center or BPO or experience required.
 6+ months lead generation, sales development, or equivalent experience with
demonstrated success in a quota-bearing environment.
 Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Able to create tables, use the
spelling checker, grammar checker, and thesaurus, create headers and footers, and
insert illustrations.
 C1 or greater verbal and written English proficiency.
