Our client is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Health and Safety Instructor to lead their safety training initiatives and foster a culture of proactive health and safety awareness across the organization.

In this role, you will develop, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive safety programs tailored to our client's manufacturing environment.

Your expertise will ensure that all team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safe workplace, comply with regulatory standards, and respond effectively to emergencies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on employee well-being while promoting a safety-first mindset throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging health and safety training sessions aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations, and other relevant legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments within manufacturing facilities to identify potential hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide first aid and CPR training to employees, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
  • Educate staff on workers' compensation law procedures, reporting protocols, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Develop clear, detailed reports documenting training activities, incident investigations, compliance status, and safety performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with management to implement continuous improvement initiatives in occupational health practices.
  • Stay current with evolving EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Facilitate training & development programs focused on occupational health topics such as ergonomics, hazard communication, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and emergency response procedures.
  • Promote a safety-conscious culture through ongoing communication campaigns, safety meetings, and recognition programs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation law processes and reporting procedures.
  • Familiarity with EPA regulations related to environmental safety within industrial settings.
  • Strong background in occupational health principles with the ability to identify hazards proactively.
  • Excellent report writing skills for documenting investigations, compliance audits, and training outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively following incidents or near-misses.
  • Experience in developing and delivering engaging training & development programs tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to communicate complex safety concepts clearly and motivate teams toward safe practices.
  • Relevant certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000, $100,000,000.00 per year
