- Located in Casa Cassis (RP82 Villa Lago Gutierrez), Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina (Northern Patagonia)
- Full-time, year-around position Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
- Argentinian public school calendar is observed (February-December, January is off every summer)
- Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
- Start date: February 2026

Pay: Competitive annual salary for Argentina. Based on experience.
Requirements:
- Primary level teaching degree (able to be validated in Argentina)
- Bilingual - able to communicate and write both in English and Spanish
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a project-based learning or IB elementary school
- Significant experience teaching or working closely with children between the ages of 5-12 years old
- Passion for sustainable living, social justice and transformative experiences in nature
- Experience and passionate interest in the development and implementation of an interdisciplinary, project-based curriculum
- Profound respect for student autonomy and unwavering trust in student-centered learning (including, but not limited to, project-based learning, socratic method, personalized goal setting and assessment and observation)
- Proven success working in a team environment toward the fulfillment of a common goal
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience with current technologies, especially as they relate to student research, artificial intelligence, media and organization
- Implementing classroom observations, record keeping and writing students reports on a constant basis
Highly Preferred:
- Teaching license, Positive Discipline, Conscious Discipline, Montessori, IB, non-violent communication, Waldorf, Forest school or other specific educator or social-emotional certifications or trainings
- Previous experience working at a new school and developing curriculum from scratch
- Specific experience teaching English as a second language, social studies, science, mathematics and/or language arts (Spanish and English)

Job Responsibilities:
- Work on a team to develop a rigorous, thematic, inquiry-based curriculum to be used for 1st-7th grade students
- Utilize student-centered best practices, including but not limited to: project-based learning, socratic method, personalized goal setting and assessment and observation
- Allow and encourage access to nature and natural materials whenever possible
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom and workspace at all times
- Participate actively in team building, problem solving, group planning and development of individualized student plans
- Utilize Positive Discipline techniques in and out of the classroom in order to maintain an environment conducive to learning and based on mutual respect
- Participate in the planning and execution of "Fun Fridays" (on and off-campus school-wide applied learning)
- Participate in team meetings with each family at the start of each semester - and as needed - to administer self-assessments, set goals and assign schedules
- Organize and execute a Family Presentation day at the end of every semester
- Be open and prepared to teach extracurricular classes such as physical education, social/emotional skills, life skills, art, music, movement, etc.
- Supervise scheduled free play on a daily basis
- Participate in whole staff meetings once a week
- Assist with drop off and pick up as needed
- Be willing to supplement classroom materials by creating your own with school funds
- Prepare and conduct parent conferences and meetings, as well as foster good communication with families throughout the school year
- Assist in conducting interviews and orientations for new enrollees and their parents
- Work with students of all abilities assigned to your classroom, including those with learning disabilities, and participate in meetings, trainings, and planning sessions to meet the needs of students with special needs
