About the Role
EdgeUno is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner – Payroll & Compensation, a hybrid role that combines deep HR operational expertise (payroll, benefits, compensation, HR compliance, processes, analytics) with strategic HRBP responsibilities for our Technology and Corporate units across multiple LATAM countries.
This position is ideal for a hands-on, data-driven, highly structured HR professional who can operate at both strategic and operational levels, ensuring compliant, efficient, and scalable HR processes while partnering with leaders to drive organizational performance, talent development, and engagement.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, supporting business objectives across Spanish-speaking countries, and serving as the operational anchor for People Operations and Compensation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll and benefits across multiple LATAM countries, working with vendors such as Deel and HRIS platforms.
- Lead compensation processes, including salary reviews, job leveling, benchmarking, internal promotions, structural changes, and compensation analytics.
- Standardize and improve HR processes, policies, and workflows to ensure efficiency, consistency, and scalability across countries.
- Oversee HR data integrity, reporting, and analytics, developing dashboards and insights linking people metrics to business outcomes.
- Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure full compliance with labor, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Support HRIS improvements and integrations across systems, ensuring accurate and consistent data flows.
Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Act as the primary HRBP for the Technology and Corporate Business Units, understanding goals, workforce needs, and business challenges.
- Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, performance management, and employee relations.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract and retain top talent and ensure a seamless hiring and onboarding experience.
- Drive initiatives in organizational development, change management, succession planning, leadership coaching, and culture strengthening.
- Identify training needs, support employee development, and promote a strong culture of performance and continuous improvement.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Promote and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within assigned business units.
Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Initiatives
- Lead and deliver HR projects specific to Technology and Corporate units, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Build and support high-performance teams by strengthening leadership capabilities and ensuring role clarity, accountability, and efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic insights supported by data and market trends.
- Directly support engagement, onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day HR operations as needed, maintaining a hands-on and proactive approach.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as Senior HRBP, HR Operations Lead, or similar roles with strong exposure to payroll, compensation, compliance, and people analytics.
- Solid understanding of labor laws and HR compliance in at least one Latin American country (multicountry experience is a strong plus).
- Proven experience supporting technical or corporate teams as a Strategic HR Business Partner.
- Fluency in English required; Spanish mandatory; Portuguese is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Deel, ADP) and strong analytical skills (Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools).
- Highly organized, structured, and proactive, with strong problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
