Main Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join our multifaceted procurement team. The Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of procurement within the organization, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, handling vendor relationships, and ensuring that goods and services are acquired in an efficient and timely manner while meeting quality standards.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Key Resposibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization's objectives and drive cost savings.
- Lead procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Lead vendor relationships and conduct supplier performance evaluations to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal collaborators to understand their procurement needs and develop tailored solutions to meet those needs.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior members of the procurement team, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Supervise market trends and industry developments to find opportunities for optimization and innovation within the procurement function.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management on procurement-related matters.

Knowledge skills and abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business administration, Supply Chain or similar.
- 5 years of experience in similar positions.
- Proficient in English.
- Sophisticated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manipulate large datasets, build sophisticated formulas and macros, and generate meaningful insights.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is considered a strong asset
- Ability to build good customer relationships and effectively negotiate with customers to resolve disputes and promote effective solution solutions;
- Shown ability to set and coordinate large budgets and resources;
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effect strategic direction.
- Good interpersonal skills, networking and team working
