**Backoffice Abroad** is seeking a qualified professional to join its team in the role of **Senior AI Engineer.** This role is for the engineer who loves building and playing competitive multiplayer games. The role will support the development of the Gameplay Mechanics by bringing life to the Non-Playable Characters of the game. The Senior AI Engineer will be responsible for creating behavioral systems that are believable, exciting and presents the players with varying degrees of difficulty.

Backoffice Abroad was founded by a lawyer and a business administrator, looking to harness their expertise and relevant local experiences to ensure that demanding employers can find high quality, yet affordable workers to join their ranks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Liaising with Engineers and Designers in developing an AI Plan.
- Setting Patterns and Parameters for the rules of the game.
- Writing custom code and AI Tools to expand the game.
- Develop AI Prototypes for testing.
- Enhancing the gameplay experience for the end-user through the use of AI.
- Collaborating with game testers to identify bugs and implement improvements based on feedback acquired.
- Assisting Technical Art and Engineering Team on AI Requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated ability to create challenging and realistic AI
- Understand the difference between the Perfect AI and a Fun AI
- BS Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Must have at least shipped AI in a Combat-based/Competitive Multiplayer Game.
- Deep understanding of MOBA mechanics.
- Experience building AI in complex systems.

**Bonus Points**:

- Passion for playing MMORPGs and MOBA games
- WoW, DotA 2 or League of Legends player
- Shipped AI in a MOBA Title
- Knowledgeable about building complex systems in GOAP
