We are seeking remote **Senior AI Engineer** to join our team in **Mexico**
We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help us build and scale AI-driven solutions across our platform. This role is primarily focused on backend engineering but also includes deploying services and managing infrastructure in AWS. You’ll work closely with product and data teams to bring features to life, integrate AI models into production systems, and ensure everything runs smoothly in the cloud.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Design, build, and maintain backend systems using Python and TypeScript.
- Set up and manage AWS infrastructure to support production workloads.
- Own deployments using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance and reliability of AI-powered services.
- Collaborate across product, data, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver high-impact features.
**What You Bring**:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Experience deploying and maintaining production services in the cloud.
- Familiarity with integrating LLMs or other generative AI models into backend systems.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership from design through deployment.
**Bonus Points**:
- Experience with contact center platforms (AWS Connect, NICE, Genesys).
- Background in voice biometrics, emotion AI, or human-computer interaction.
- Experience in AI bias testing.
- Experience with AWS Bedrock and Lex.
- DevOps skills (Terraform, CDK, Docker, etc.).
- Experience collaborating with AI/ML or data science teams.
