Risk Management Consultant

FM Global is a leading provider of property insurance and engineering-based risk management solutions. As a Risk Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping our clients mitigate potential disasters and protect their assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and Mitigate Hazards: Conduct thorough assessments of industrial facilities to identify potential hazards and develop practical solutions to minimize or eliminate them.
- Communicate Risk Insights: Effectively communicate key risks and priorities to clients, enabling them to make informed decisions about their risk management strategies.
- Apply Risk Assessment and Mitigation Guidance: Utilize FM Global's proprietary data sheets and operating procedures to provide consistent and technical guidance on risk assessment and mitigation.
- Prepare Technical Reports: Develop comprehensive technical reports that document conclusions and provide sound engineering-based judgments and decisions.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Operations Engineering, Client Services, Account Management, and Underwriting teams to develop and implement risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Build Long-Term Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and consultant in the field of risk management.
- Travel and Field Work: Conduct site visits to evaluate operations and systems, identify risks and hazards, and provide recommendations for improvement. Overnight travel is expected, with approximately 50-100 nights per year.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering with a concentration in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing facility. Experience with expansions, construction, or installation projects is desirable.
- Skills: Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Office products is required. Analytical, organized, and problem-solving skills are essential. Self-learning skills and a valid driver's license are also required.
- Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
