The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of law and regulations in the upstream oil and gas sector, with prior experience in researching laws and contracts from multiple jurisdictions. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in law is essential, with further studies in energy policy, regulation, or taxation being desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Support oil and gas companies, governments, and financial investors in making critical business decisions
- Assess legal and contract terms, adapting to a low-carbon world
- Collaborate extensively with regional governments to benchmark and inform upstream policymaking
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in the upstream sector in Latin America
- Prior experience producing high-quality research and analyzing laws and contracts from several distinct jurisdictions
