The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our medical department onboard ships, managing a team of nurses, and providing guidance as needed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned nurse leader to take on a challenging role in a dynamic environment and contribute to the health and wellbeing of our crew members.
About the Role:
- Oversee daily operations of medical department on board ships.
- Manage team of nurses and provide guidance as needed.
- Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure health and safety of crew members.
- Coordinate with ship's captain and crew for medical care and support.
- Maintain accurate medical records and reports.
- Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment on board.
- Conduct regular training and drills for medical emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- Minimum 5 years experience in nursing, preferably in leadership role.
- Experience working in maritime or remote setting is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures.
- Willingness to travel and work on board ships for extended periods of time.
