Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled International Field Service Engineer - Steam Turbines Specialist to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our Gas Services division, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services to steam turbines and associated equipment at power plant sites around the world.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct teams of field service engineers, technicians, and craft labor personnel in the maintenance and repair of steam turbines and associated equipment.
- Coordinate and manage staffing of project teams at customer sites, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to division management, customer management, product line management, and suppliers on steam turbine-related matters.
- Review and execute customer contract requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on the condition and repairs of customer equipment, including recommendations for future maintenance and upgrades.
- Review complex task plans, schedules, drawings, and installation schematics, providing mentorship and guidance to team members throughout task duration.
- Ensure compliance with and enforcement of the protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality).
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a power plant or equivalent environment, with a strong background in steam turbine maintenance and repair.
- Self-driven and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software as needed.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 80% of the time.
