The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the medical department, developing and implementing medical protocols and procedures, and ensuring the health and wellbeing of our crew members.
About the Opportunity:
- Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure health and safety of crew members.
- Oversee daily operations of medical department on board ships.
- Manage team of nurses and provide guidance as needed.
- Coordinate with ship's captain and crew for medical care and support.
- Maintain accurate medical records and reports.
- Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment on board.
- Conduct regular training and drills for medical emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- Minimum 5 years experience in nursing, preferably in leadership role.
- Experience working in maritime or remote setting is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environment.
