Position Overview

As a Finance Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and predicting financial metrics to aid in strategic and operational choices. We seek a candidate with a solid background in financial analysis, meticulous attention to detail, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously while promoting teamwork within our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager and other departments to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Analyzing and forecasting financial data to deliver precise and timely information for both strategic and operational decisions.
  • Interpreting financial data regarding costs, pricing, and revenues, and advising senior management accordingly.
  • Conducting in-depth financial analysis projects, preparing forecasts, and assessing the company's financial standing.
  • Actively participating in team financial initiatives to identify and address accounting and financial reporting challenges.
  • Overseeing month-end processes to finalize the Plant's monthly financial outcomes, including validating operations, determining provisions, and analyzing accounts.
  • Upholding effective internal controls to ensure high standards of financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Delivering financial support to the Operations Manager and other areas, ensuring timely and accurate financial insights.
  • Ensuring compliance of Finance processes with corporate policies and local regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate and current Plant accounting records, including inventories, payables, and cost of goods sold.
  • Preparing and submitting financial reports to relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Coordinating and reviewing the Operating Capital Report, ensuring accuracy in the monthly financial statements.
  • Reviewing and approving journal entries, managing month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring accurate reconciliations for accounts payable.
  • Identifying and documenting opportunities for process improvements within the Argentina Concentrate Plant.
  • Preparing administrative charges and ensuring proper intercompany transactions.
  • Reviewing and approving payments, managing tax obligations, and ensuring adherence to financial and tax regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar field.
  • Strong expertise in financial analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Exceptional ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and accounting standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of local financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and analytical tools.
