Position Overview
The Marketing Assistant plays a crucial role in assisting the Brand Manager with the formulation and implementation of the annual marketing strategy, aimed at fulfilling the objectives of Distributor Markets within specified categories.
Key Responsibilities
General Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the execution of the annual marketing cycle plans.
- Oversee the implementation of consumer promotions and suggest local initiatives to boost engagement.
- Collaborate closely with commercial teams for local planning to enhance visibility and distribution strategies, while assisting the Brand Manager in defining portfolio needs by channel and market.
- Aid the Brand Manager with A&P tracking, administrative duties, vendor coordination, and data analysis.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Assist the Brand Activation Manager in the development and execution of the annual marketing plan derived from international strategies.
- Support the Brand Manager in executing key activities to drive volume and net sales.
- Manage relationships with BTL and digital agencies to ensure effective local planning and execution of marketing initiatives.
- Gather and provide portfolio analysis and insights.
- Collect and share competitive intelligence with global teams.
- Assist the team with budget management, reporting, purchase order creation, and invoice reconciliation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, category management, and finance teams to ensure timely and effective execution of marketing initiatives.
- Manage MDG and Proof HQ submissions and track for timely completion.
- Handle consumer response management across the EHI portfolio in collaboration with local and global teams.
Desired Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business or Marketing.
- At least 2 years of relevant business experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong command of the English language; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Advanced level of English proficiency.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial principles.
- Familiarity with Trade Marketing is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SAP is beneficial.
