Position Overview

This role is pivotal in executing globally sanctioned marketing strategies that align with and promote commercial goals for designated categories and brands. The focus is on achieving local sales targets, gross margin objectives, and market share growth. This position involves planning, leading, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to implement in-store initiatives, including promotions, visibility enhancements, and communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

Assists the Senior Manager in formulating and executing the annual marketing strategy while managing relevant budgets. Analyzes market trends to recommend tactical adjustments to product offerings, pricing, and packaging. Oversees the execution of both centrally developed and locally tailored promotions, leveraging local market insights to boost consumer engagement. Monitors and reports on competitive activities concerning product offerings, pricing, distribution, visibility, and promotional efforts. Engages in customer presentations as necessary to stay informed about customer developments and requirements. Participates in key customer negotiations in the absence of the Senior Manager. Determines portfolio needs by market and channel, coordinating trade programs within the marketing strategy as required. Analyzes data from sources like Nielsen to derive insights that enhance competitive positioning.

Specific Responsibilities

Tailors the sub-region marketing strategy in alignment with global and regional plans as part of the annual business planning process. Manages the execution of initiatives during peak periods to drive volume and net sales. Collaborates closely with commercial teams to strategize merchandising and visibility requirements across various channels, ensuring alignment during the annual business planning and quarterly reviews. Cultivates relationships with BTL and digital agencies to ensure effective local planning and execution of initiatives. Provides analytical insights based on Nielsen audit data, reviewing category trends, pricing, portfolio, and distribution against competitors. Works alongside Finance to evaluate business segments for volume, net sales, and gross margin, providing updates to cluster leadership and commercial teams. Tracks and assesses competitor promotional activities.

Ensures that advertising and promotional spending aligns with annual business planning and quarterly forecasts.

Desired Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

Proficient in English 3-4 years of relevant business experience Proven experience in consumer goods marketing and sales; familiarity with the categories managed. Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field Experience working directly with customers and sales teams. Skilled in analyzing and utilizing trade audit data. Demonstrated abilities in critical thinking, collaboration, influence, team leadership, customer focus, and achieving results aligned with business objectives. Ideally, previous experience in brand activation and execution. Strong collaborative skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
