Position Overview

This role is pivotal in executing globally sanctioned marketing strategies that align with and promote commercial goals for designated categories and brands. The focus is on achieving local sales targets, gross margin, and market share. The position involves planning, leading, and coordinating in-store initiatives such as promotions, visibility enhancements, and communication strategies with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

General Accountabilities

Assists the Senior Manager in the formulation and execution of the annual marketing strategy and oversees related budgets. Analyzes market data to recommend tactical adjustments to product offerings, pricing, and packaging. Coordinates the rollout of both centrally and locally developed promotions, suggesting local initiatives based on market insights to boost consumer engagement. Tracks and reports on competitive actions concerning product offerings, pricing, distribution, visibility, and promotional activities. Engages in customer presentations to stay informed about customer development and requirements, participating in key customer negotiations as needed. Determines portfolio requirements by market and channel, coordinating trade programs within the marketing strategy as necessary. Analyzes market research data, including volume and value share, to derive insights for competitive advantage.

Specific Accountabilities

Tailors the sub-regional marketing strategy to align with global and divisional plans as part of the annual business planning process. Oversees the execution of activities during critical periods to drive volume and net sales during peak seasons. Collaborates closely with commercial teams to plan merchandising and visibility requirements across various channels, ensuring alignment during the annual business planning phase and quarterly reviews. Manages relationships with below-the-line and digital agencies to ensure effective local planning and execution of initiatives. Provides analytical insights based on market audit data, reviewing category trends, pricing, portfolio, and distribution in comparison to competitors. Works with finance to assess business segments for volume, net sales, and gross margin, providing updates to leadership and commercial teams. Monitors and evaluates competitor promotional strategies.

Ensures that advertising and promotional spending aligns with annual business planning and quarterly forecasts.

Desired Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

Proficient in English (Advanced Level) 3-4 years of relevant business experience Proven track record in consumer goods marketing and sales; experience in relevant categories is preferred. Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field Experience working directly with customers and sales teams. Proficient in analyzing and utilizing trade audit data. Demonstrated skills in critical thinking, collaboration, influence, team leadership, customer focus, and achieving results aligned with business objectives. Ideally, previous experience in brand activation and execution. Strong collaborative skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
