As a Technical Translation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the translation of technical documentation, user manuals, and other related materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical translation, localization, and cultural adaptation, as well as experience in project management and leadership. You will be responsible for managing interactions with localization partners, collaborating with the product team to ensure seamless implementation of localized content, and providing mentorship to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage interactions with localization partners to ensure accurate localization within expected timeframes
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure seamless implementation of localized content
- Provide mentorship to junior team members on complex linguistic challenges
- Lead the development and maintenance of glossaries, style guides, and brand voice guides to ensure consistency across translators and platforms
- Partner with team members to define, develop, and implement best practices for all localization efforts
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Portuguese and understanding of technical terminology and concepts related to the SaaS industry
- Strong translation and localization skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to new technologies and tools
- Project management and leadership skills to effectively lead teams and drive results
- Experience with Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools to enhance efficiency and consistency in the translation process
