About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to join our direct sales team. As a key member of our Business Development Team, you will be responsible for sourcing and qualifying leads, converting them into sales-qualified opportunities that our sales team can then close as deals. Your primary objective will be to build and manage a list of leads to create new opportunities with mid-market and enterprise businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source and qualify leads to convert them into sales-qualified opportunities (SQOs)
• Develop trusted relationships with the sales and BDR management teams, the wider sales team, marketing, and your business development representative peers
• Meet monthly SQO targets, with commissions based on the quantity of SQOs passed to the sales team that are accepted
• Work with leads in your name in the CRM, ensuring timely and efficient follow-up to achieve success indicators
About You:
We are looking for a positive, proactive, and motivated individual with a coachable and determined attitude. You should possess impeccable work ethic, be a team player, and be willing to take on feedback. Native-level communication in English (written and spoken) is essential, along with excellent written, verbal, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment is crucial, as is the capacity to cope with pressure without impacting performance or decision-making.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in high-pressure environments (e.g., competitive sports)
• Experience in a professional environment with constant prospect and customer contact, ideally in a sales environment
• Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesloft, Cognism, etc.
• Understanding of best practice structures and processes for business development teams
• Ability to recognize buying signals and understand where Dotdigital can assist prospects
• General understanding of the e-commerce landscape
Benefits:
• Competitive salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on experience and performance
