Chevron is seeking applications for the role of Senior Financial Analyst. This position is part of the Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC) and plays a crucial role in supporting our finance operations.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will have the chance to leverage your expertise in finance and accounting while contributing to the future of our financial services.

The Finance Shared Services team is looking for a dedicated professional who can navigate a dynamic business landscape while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

A Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for:

  • Leveraging technology and analytical skills to drive high-quality decision-making.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Over 8 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • A degree in business administration or accounting.
  • Familiarity with JDE, Oracle, or SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS 365 applications, particularly Power Query and Power BI.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with team members and management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and initiative in driving departmental goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a trusted partner across functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across various organizational levels.
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • An inquisitive and enthusiastic approach to work.

What You'll Do:

  • Capital budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Accounting and regulatory reporting specific to corporate or operating companies.
  • Financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Providing finance and accounting counsel.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Collaborating with other finance divisions.
  • Monitoring accountability metrics.
  • Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Corporate and Excise Tax management.
  • Credit analysis.
  • Month-end close activities.
  • Account reconciliations.
