Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Birmingham.

**Role Purpose**
- We are seeking to appoint positive, highly motivated and enthusiastic Work Experience Coordinator to join the Business Development team, supporting colleagues across all curriculum areas to achieve growth across work experience.
- The role will involve engaging with new employers to secure high quality work experience opportunities for students and working with existing employers to maintain effective relationships.
- As well as reviewing students when on work experience to ensure they are safe and meeting their objectives; and ensuring that employers are fully supportive of students in the workplace

**Primary Duties**
- Work as part of a team of work placement officers.
- Work as part of a team with staff, including business development, curriculum, finance and data.
- Liaise extensively with curriculum staff to promote opportunities for learners to gain work experience opportunities.
- Develop relationships with new and existing employers, partners and stakeholders to identify skills and recruitment needs and work experience opportunities and to monitor the quality of service provided.
- Assist the business development teams to optimise effective relationships with employers e.g. to promote apprenticeships.
- Ensure that all learners within your caseload undertake relevant and high-quality work experience, within planned timescales.
- Ensure that all learners within your caseload understand expectations whilst undertaking work experience.
- Meet with learners, tutors and assessors to identify and facilitate relevant work experience opportunities e.g. tasters and placements.
- Ensure that the personal development of learners is consistently embedded within all work placement opportunities.

**Requirements**:

- Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check
- Educated to at least Level 3 with a good standard of Maths and English.
- Ideally have experience of organising and managing work experience provision.
- Good understanding of sales techniques likely to be successful with employers
- Ability to work proactively without regular supervision, managing own diary effectively.
- Effective team player, providing support to colleagues as required e.g. covering absence.
- Successful experience of working in a customer facing role in a training, marketing or sales capacity.
- Proven track record of building and sustaining effective and successful working relationships with partners and external stakeholders.
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
