Position Overview

Technical Specialists collaborate with Autodesk sales teams and authorized resellers to aid in developing, managing, and executing strategies for closing deals. They engage with individuals at all levels within a customer's organization to comprehend their challenges and propose solutions while identifying business opportunities for Autodesk.

The AEC Technical Sales Specialist will concentrate on Oil and Gas and Mining solutions and will be located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sao Paulo, Brazil, or Bogotá, Colombia. Reporting to the Brazil/SOLA Technical Sales Manager, the specialist will cover the SOLA territory (Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Chile).

We support hybrid work, and you are expected to reside in one of these cities or nearby areas.

No relocation assistance will be available for this role.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of customer processes. Investigate, understand the customer's business challenges, and leverage knowledge of industry trends to identify opportunities for process enhancement Capture metrics to justify the customer's return on investment (ROI) for technical closure. Collaborate with Autodesk partners as necessary to ensure adoption of proposed solutions Promote Autodesk's unique value proposition in sales scenarios against competitors. Deliver presentations, demos, and discussions through various mediums Impact product development and direction based on customer feedback and identified opportunities Collaborate with sales representatives to develop and execute strategies Support Autodesk resellers by mentoring technical sales activities and creating sales content Participate in events and tradeshows to showcase Autodesk's solutions targeting customer business challenges Understand customer processes to build a trusted relationship, aiding them in their digital transformation journey Manage the technical evaluation process from qualification to post-sales activities Document customer engagements in Salesforce with relevant information Lead the technical sales aspects of an Autodesk sales cycle 5+ years' experience in the Oil and Gas and Mining sector Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Knowledge of Autodesk AEC Infrastructure Solutions AWP and BIM knowledge Proficiency in Spanish and English Ability to travel up to 75%

Minimum Qualifications

Understanding of the MEP Building industry Knowledge of Autodesk AEC solutions and competitor's construction/infrastructure software Prior experience in sales or pre-sales
