The Technical Accounting Specialist is a key support for the Global Financials statements preparation in order to submit them to the SEC.


  • This role provides support for all complex accounting matters and preparation of the Financials of the company at global level including preparation on how to document all accounting decisions though account memorandums.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all transactions that the reports have are done in compliance and aligned with the accounting Standards and rules in order to support the audit under
  • PCAOB
  • Prepare controls files and memorandums to validate and confirm all complex transactions such as: Equity, fixed asset, goodwill, leases, among others
  • Prepare all disclosures needed for the consolidated financial reports according to the closing schedule of each month, quarter and annual basis
  • Support on maintaining and enforcing current accounting policies and procedures in order to improve productivity and quality of the information.
  • Perform monthly reviews, analysis, global test and reconciliations of accounts in order to identify significant components that need to have special attention (memo)
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through automation and / or efficiency initiatives
  • Support on the implementation of tools that help improving the quality and timing of the reports (i.e Workiva)
  • Support on the Quarterly and annual Audits
  • Relationship with auditors together with the management,
  • Prepare memorandums and advice on the accounting treatment for significant transactions. Review of complex agreements
  • Prepare quarterly and annually consolidated financial statements related to SEC. US GAAP and IFRS Reporting. SEC forms
  • Review of internal control over financial reporting. SOX Compliance. Analysis of control deficiencies. Advice on improvements

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 6+ years audit experience in Big 4 or recognized Firms, 2+ years experience in a corporate accounting sector of a company is a plus
  • Accounting and reporting under IFRS or US Gaap (desired)
  • Monthend accounting closing, accounts analysis, consolidation and preparation of financial statements
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools with ability to retrieve and manipulate data to create useful analytical information
  • Microsoft 365 ERP, OneStream and data report intelligence (Power BI) knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and auditing skills with the ability to research and reconcile accounts
  • Strong communications skills, flexible to changing priorities in a dynamic environment, with ability to work collaboratively with various teams and all levels
  • Highly independent and motivated
  • Organized, with initiative and results oriented
  • Good relationship to deal with coworkers

Education:

  • Public Accountant
  • Advanced English (written and oral)
